Prawn Cocktail Recipe

Prawn cocktail is a well know recipe throughout England and was very popular in
the 1970's. Originally you would use small Atlantic prawns but I used king
prawns instead as they are bigger and more succulent.
No cooking required (served cold). |
Recipe Ingredients
1 Small Little Gem Lettuce
1/4 Cucumber
20 Cooked King Prawns
1 Avocado
3tbsp Mayonnaise
1tsp Ketchup
1/2tsp Sun Dried Tomato Paste
Pinch Paprika
1 Lemon

Method for Sauce
- Mix the mayonnaise with the ketchup.
- Add the paprika and stir.
- Add the sun dried tomato paste.
- Cut the lemon in half and give a good squeeze and mix (be careful not to
get any pips in it).
Recipe Method
- Shred the lettuce into small strips and place in the bowl/glass
- Cut the cucumber into rings, quarter the rings and place in the
bowl/glass (cut the rings fairly chunky).
- Cut chunks of ripe avocado and place in the bowl/glass.
- Stir prawns gently into the sauce.
Garnish with a piece of lemon and a pinch of paprika.
